Late Summer Spray
(Additional application for hard to control infestations)
July through August
Fall Spray
August through October
Dormant/Winter Spray
November through February
Dormant spray is the most important spray of the season. The importance of dormant/winter spray lies in the fact that this application can be applied to the bare limbs and trunks of the dormant plants. Consequently the dormant application can do a superior job of cleaning up existing infection of certain diseases and insects.
This application is designed to control spruce aphid and silver-spotted tiger moth on conifers. Dormant spray also helps control scale and the over-wintering eggs of aphid, mites, green spruce aphid, adelgids, balsam adelgid, hemlock wooly adelgid, and worms.
This spray by all odds should be done every year and is recommended by local plant experts and extension services. |
